OIL PALM PLANTATION

Patanjali is one of the largest integrated oilseed solvent extraction and edible oil refining companies in India.

Patanjali Foods Limited visioned and pioneered its oil palm plantation business in 1993. We have land bank access to around 6,28,000 hectares in 12 states viz. Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Mizoram, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Tripura & Nagaland. We have developed around 71,000 hectares of oil palm under cultivation across 12 States.

We have developed 37 new oil palm seed nurseries in 08 states and imported 85 lakh sprouts in the past two years. Currently, we are working with over 50,000 farmers to manage oil palm crop across 12 States.

We have established five state of art processing mills with annual crushing capacity of 13.82 lakh MT of FFB (160 MT/Hr) capacity and processing more than 5.5 Lakh MT FFB. Initiations have been taken to set up 03 new mills in NE states (Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Assam) and another 03 mills in Rest of India (Telangana, Andhra Pradesh & Karnataka) by 2025.

With the intention of nation first, we work closely with farmers by offering them wide ranging services, such as supply of quality seedlings, fertilizers, harvesting tools, technical guidance for adoption of best management practices and assured buyback of fresh fruit bunches (FFBs). We support the farmers in seamless crop management, while GEO tagging and other technology support. To further strengthen our farm support initiatives, we have established 173 farmer information cum FFB procurement centers. These help in dissemination of technical knowledge to farmers and FFB procurement. We maintain electronic database to track usage of fertilizers and other parameters to improve yield and farmer income.

PFL has sanctioned 104 FPOs on Oil palm in 4 NE states (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Tripura & Mizoram) through SFAC in August 2022. Up to January 2024, 82 FPOs have been registered in MCA Portal in Arunachal Pradesh (31), Assam (43) & Mizoram (8).
